The TS30 Series are extremely versatile mechanisms for use in a wide range of applications. They offer encoding, reading and printing, with four volt free inputs and three volt free outputs on all units. They may be used as slaves to an external source, or can stand alone, without the need of an external control system.

A typical application in stand-alone mode would be 'pay for time':

An entrance unit would dispense tickets at a push of a button or a signal from a loop detector. The tickets would be encoded and printed with the serial number, time, date, event or location as required. A signal to enable access would be sent upon the removal of the ticket.

A pay point unit would be used to read the ticket when inserted and display the fee due. When paid, the unit would print the fee paid, time and date, on the ticket and encode the ticket for use at the exit.

The exit unit would read the ticket and, if valid, a signal would be sent to enable exit when required. The ticket would then be returned as a receipt.
